What to actually evaluate
- Board alignment — does it map cleanly to NIOS, CBSE/NCERT, or IGCSE, or is it a standalone system you’ll need to translate later?
- Flexibility — can you use parts of it, or is it an all-or-nothing package?
- Real support vs. marketing — mentoring calls, doubt-clearing sessions, and community access should be concrete, not vague promises
- Trial access — a provider confident in their material usually offers a sample module or trial period before you commit
- Price per subject, not per package — bundled pricing can hide which subjects you’re actually paying a premium for
A useful test before paying
Ask any provider for one full sample lesson in a subject your child finds hardest. How they handle that specific, tricky topic tells you more than any glossy brochure — you’re really testing their teaching approach, not their marketing team.
You don’t need to pick just one
Plenty of families mix a paid provider for one or two subjects with free resources or their own materials for the rest. There’s no rule that says your curriculum has to come from a single source.
